Computer Vision
& Medical Image Computing Engineer
Hi, I’m Malik Danial Ahmed, a Double Degree Master’s student in Medical Image Computing at the University of Girona,
Currently seeking an industry-focused internship for my final semester, I bring a strong background in Computer Science with hands-on experience in Robotics, Computer Vision, and AI. I’ve worked on projects from vehicle detection (YOLO) to 3D reconstruction and biomedical image segmentation, with a particular interest in applying smart systems to healthcare. Alongside academics, I’ve strengthened my skills in freelancing, SEO, and cloud/web hosting — gaining practical expertise in project delivery, teamwork, and client communication.
Developed a biomedical image processing pipeline for capillary segmentation and counting using OpenCV, Frangi filter, and morphological operations at the University of Bourgogne.
Implemented medical image restoration using Wiener Deconvolution and Bilateral Filtering, improving MRI clarity by 9 dB in PSNR.
Built a real-time 3D geometry reconstruction system using StereoSGBM, AKAZE, and RANSAC, with dense disparity mapping and point cloud visualization.
Created a Django-based Automatic Number Plate Recognition system for detecting stolen vehicles using OCR and neural network-based character recognition.
Configured domains, SSL, and cPanel deployments while managing website hosting operations at Zate Host.
Executed on-page SEO strategies, keyword optimization, and analytics for performance-driven campaigns at Night Sky Digital.
Launched and managed an online footwear brand, leading marketing, operations, and customer engagement strategies.
Tools, languages, and technologies I actively use in my projects and work.
Python, C, C++, Java, SQL
HTML, CSS, Django, Flask, JavaScript
OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras
AWS (S3, EC2, CloudFormation), Docker, CI/CD
NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, SciPy, Jupyter
Google Analytics, Semrush, Helium 10, On-Page SEO
Recognitions and certifications that shaped my journey.
Mastered AWS services, cloud infrastructure, Linux commands, and cybersecurity concepts through hands-on labs.
Team VIBOT, representing Pakistan, developed an innovative AI solution (SmartNet) and reached the finals of the AI for Connectivity Hackathon in Geneva.
Our project focused on AI-driven project that uses Machine Learning and TV White Space (TVWS) technology to find optimal network placement, predict failures, and bridge the digital divide in underserved regions..
Participated in the 1st Hub'Athon at Technopôle Sud Bourgogne! Our team developed innovative solutions to connect ICB & ImViA laboratories with local manufacturers, tackling real-world challenges through collaboration and creativity.
